Art in Isolation
When the world retreated indoors in 2020, I turned my lens inward. Amidst the fear, uncertainty, and endless monotony of lockdown life, an unexpected creative spark ignited. Armed with an ultra-wide focal length in a confined apartment space, I set out to document the emotional nuances of our collective isolation.
What began as a personal exercise in documenting domestic boredom evolved into a powerful fine art portrait series. The optical perspective distortion of the ultra-wide lens became a visual metaphor for our distorted world; lending an eerily compelling, subtly surreal, and darkly humorous character to each black-and-white study.
