About Hammad Iqbal

Visual Storyteller, Commercial Photographer & Educator

Based in Doha, Qatar, I am a commercial photographer, graphic designer, and digital image editor. My fascination with visual language began in childhood, sparked by the forms, colors, textures, and typography found on music album covers, movie posters, and classic photographs. Though my formal journey started in scientific studies, an unexpected turn in 1999 redirected me toward a creative career, leading me to balance work and study while earning a diploma in Professional Photography from the New York Institute of Photography and graduating in Graphic Design from Sessions College for Professional Design.

Since starting my photography journey in Doha in 2013, my work has expanded across commercial advertising, architecture, landscape, and advanced photo compositing. Over the years, my work has gained both local and international recognition.

Education, Features & Media Recognition

Sharing knowledge is at the core of my creative path. I have had the privilege of serving as an official Nikon School instructor, hosting independent photography and astrophotography workshops, and writing educational guides for global photography platforms like Digital Photography School and 500px.

My photography has been featured by Space.com, highlighted in Qatar Tourism’s international PR campaigns celebrating astrophotography in the Qatari desert, and published across local media outlets including Doha News, I Love Qatar, Time Out, and Marhaba. Whether executing high-resolution commercial campaigns or leading hands-on workshops, my focus remains on technical precision, continuous learning, and visual storytelling.
